Tim Kohut has over 20 years of experience in the industry. He has been with Abode Communities for over 10 years. Currently, Tim is the Vice President of the Architectural department and oversees 10 architects, 5 of which are AP LEED certified. Tim graduated from the University of Illinois and received a Masters in Architecture and Planning from UCLA.

In his 10 years with Abode Communities, Tim has completed over 16 projects. These 16 projects have resulted in over 761 units of affordable housing and 4 childcare facilities.

Tim and his staff designed Morgan Place to perfection. The exterior has a beautiful Mediterranean style that fits perfectly into the neighborhood. Tim and his team went above and beyond the accessibility codes for this senior complex. The installation of the photovoltaic system on the roof aided in the surpassing of California's Energy Efficiency standards by 20%.

Tim Kohut and his team are an amazing architectural team to work with. First off, their designs are very thorough and detailed. Morgan Place was the first project Ruiz Brothers has built that had a layout of the utilities in the designed floor plans. This great concept enabled the project to run expeditiously and avoid any major delays. Second, the quality control that Tim and his team execute is outstanding. They respond to the field very quickly to help mitigate problems. Third, Tim and his team are huge on flexibility and adaptability. They were open to our recommendations during the negotiation phase, which enabled us to give Tim and his team our feedback. The result of the open communication during negotiations reduced the potential for costly problems.
