History: Ruiz Brothers Construction Co. was founded in 1979 by three brothers, Frank E. Ruiz, Oscar R. Ruiz and Ernesto R Ruiz. All three brothers had a common and passionate dream of providing complete building services to the communities of Southern California. In 1982, Oscar Ruiz, one of the founders was killed in a tragic car accident, leaving the other two brothers to carry on the family dream. Since then, Ruiz Brothers Construction Co. has become a well established and reputable construction company in the community. Ruiz Brothers Construction Co. has provided services in new construction projects in both the residential and commercial field. The company has also provided services for additions, remodels, earthquake strengthening, as well as the rehabilitation of apartment and commercial buildings. Ruiz Brothers Construction Co. has 30 years of existence in the construction business and has completed more than 2,000 projects of different sizes and types. The company’s policy of guaranteed performance, high quality workmanship, and attention to details and specifications is consistently apparent in all work performed in past projects. Ruiz Brothers Construction Company’s staff has more with than 185 years of construction experience which provides complete construction services and high quality general construction to the community. The company’s 55 staff members perform excellent work in new residential and commercial construction projects, as well as remodeling and rehabilitating work. Our staff has an extensive background in engineering and architecture. This extensive background results in a much smoother working relationship which ultimately benefits the projects. The company started as a very small business 30 years ago performing small remodeling projects for homeowners. Since then, Ruiz Brothers Construction Co. has grown to become a very reputable company involved with new and rehabilitation construction projects. Ruiz Brothers Construction Co. has a license as a General Building Contractor and as a General Engineering Contractor. With 30 years in the construction of commercial and residential projects Ruiz Brothers Construction Co. is a company with a proven track record and a company you can trust. Executive Team: Frank E. Ruiz, President, graduated in 1968 with Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California of Los Angeles. In 1970, Frank earned a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California. He holds a license as a Professional Engineer in the State of California as well as a General Building Contractors license. Ernesto R. Ruiz, Vice-President, graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the California State University of Los Angeles. In 1974, Ernesto earned a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the California State University of Los Angeles. He also holds a General Engineering Contractors License. Julio A. Padilla, Vice-President, graduated in 1975 with a degree in Architecture from the Ricardo Palma University. During 1975-1980, before joining Ruiz Brothers Construction Co., Julio worked as General Contractor under his own name, specializing in restoration of historical buildings. Community Involvement: Experience with Local Hiring and Youth Build Ruiz Brothers Construction has performed numerous projects with local and affirmative hiring. We take pride in using local subcontractors when possible. In the past few years Ruiz Brothers has gone above and beyond the CRA local hiring requirements and will continue to do so in the future. Ruiz Brothers has worked with various types of Youth Employment organizations such as Youth Build and Conservation Corp. We take pride in giving the youth in our community an opportunity for hands on training in the construction field. After speaking with a few students who participated in these youth employment organizations, Ruiz Brothers has learned that the results are phenomenal. The participating youth take pride in helping us construct our beautiful buildings and have realized there passion for the construction industry.
